Pictures are not just pictures, they are stories. And only photographers can do justice to a scenario or human beauty. But for this, it is important to know some basic photography tips. Let’s begin with the easy ones!
One of the very first rules of clicking a photograph is to keep the camera straight. We might think that taking pictures from above or below will be interesting but after clicking it, if you see it, you will be disappointed.
You have to take the picture as you are seeing it. Holding the camera at a straight angle is the best option to go for.
Or you can also buy a tripod to keep it straight without using your hands! No matter it is a vertical or horizontal position, keep the camera straight.
The second tip for photographers is to get your focus right. Yes, in most cases, we let the camera decide where the focus should be. But it is just a device and it cannot see what you see.
So, you have to choose the focus of your photography. This is why you have to learn about the focus points while taking photographs. If you are dealing with people, the focus point should be the eyes.
No Pop-Up Flash
Most photographers tend to settle for the pop-up flash. Keep in mind that if you pick up this method, the flash will be too bright and intense. At the same time, it is very harsh too.
And if you click pictures with this one on, you will end up having some unreal or unnatural photos.
When the light is dim in any place, you can settle for a better lighting space for the picture without using the pop-up flash otherwise, you won’t be satisfied with the photo.
Rule of Thirds
Every person that is taking photos for a long period will know about the rule of thirds because it is quite common among photographers. The rule of thirds is created by four different lines.
Here, there are two horizontal lines and two vertical lines. When these are placed on the image you are planning to grab, there will be a grid that has nine squares.
And when you see the square grids, you can easily divide the picture into nine different sectors to learn if they look good individually or not. It helps in balancing the picture and helping you take the soothing ones.
When the plan is to click landscapes, it’s the best idea to add depth. In this case, the size along with the depth and scale is necessary. Pick up the foreground elements in your shot.
Go for rocks if you see them. Settle for the lower shooting position to get the right depth of the image. To add dimension, adding up human or handmade objects are common too!
In such cases, always pick up the ideal wide-angle lenses. Or you can also tilt the camera and go for a vertical place! You will see the adding depth to your photos.
Not every time you will be able to take the perfect pictures but yes, by following the rules and keeping them in mind, you will surely be able to do better in this sector. Try to click more because the more you click, the more seasoned you become!
